This Privacy Policy explains how AutoPilot Marketing ("AutoPilot," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses and retains personal information through the Drive Bank platform and any branded finance application hosted on a drivebank.ca subdomain (each, a "Site"). Drive Bank is an operating name used by AutoPilot Marketing to provide white-label auto finance pre-approval applications on behalf of participating dealerships ("Dealer Partners").

1. Your Consent

By submitting your information through a Site, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure and retention of that information by AutoPilot Marketing and the Dealer Partner whose application you completed, in accordance with this Privacy Policy and as otherwise permitted by applicable law. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details below, subject to legal restrictions, but doing so may mean we and the Dealer Partner cannot complete your financing request.

2. Personal Information We Collect

When you complete a finance pre-approval application on a Site, we collect personal information you provide directly, which may include:

  • Contact details (name, email address, phone number, mailing address)

  • Date of birth

  • Citizenship or residency status

  • Employment status, employer name, job title, and income information

  • Vehicle preferences and trade-in information

  • Self-reported credit rating range

  • Phone number verification data (one-time passcode confirmation)

We may also automatically collect technical information such as your device type, browser, approximate location, referring webpage, and how you interact with the Site, using cookies and similar technologies.

3. Credit Checks and Lender Referrals

By submitting an application, you acknowledge and agree that your information will be shared with the Dealer Partner identified on the Site, and that the Dealer Partner — or lenders and financing partners it works with — may request and review your credit report and credit score from one or more credit reporting agencies in order to assess your application and provide financing options. AutoPilot Marketing does not itself pull credit reports; this is performed by the Dealer Partner or its lending partners as part of the financing process you are requesting.

The Dealer Partner's collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your personal information once it is shared with them is governed by the Dealer Partner's own privacy practices, and AutoPilot Marketing is not responsible for how the Dealer Partner subsequently handles your information.

4. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Process and route your finance pre-approval application to the relevant Dealer Partner

  • Verify your phone number via one-time passcode (SMS)

  • Communicate with you about your application, including by phone, text, and email

  • Score and prioritize applications for the Dealer Partner's follow-up

  • Improve and maintain the Site and our services

  • Detect and prevent fraud

  • Comply with legal obligations

5. How We Disclose Your Personal Information

We disclose your personal information to:

  • The Dealer Partner whose branded Site you used to apply, so they may follow up and process your financing request;

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site, including hosting providers, SMS/phone verification providers, and customer relationship tools, under obligations to protect your information;

  • Law enforcement or regulators where required by law; and

  • Successors in the event of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

6. Phone Number Verification (SMS)

If you provide a mobile phone number, we will send a one-time passcode by text message to confirm it belongs to you. Standard message and data rates may apply. This step helps prevent fraudulent applications and speeds up your approval process. You may decline this step and continue your application without phone verification, though doing so may affect how quickly the Dealer Partner can confirm and process your request.

7. Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including any applicable legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, after which it is securely deleted or de-identified.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by AutoPilot Marketing by contacting us using the details below. Note that information already shared with a Dealer Partner or lender prior to your request may need to be addressed directly with that party.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a revised version on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of a Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
